The California Nutrition Network for Healthy, Active Families
recently awarded Jubilee Restoration a grant of $233,750 over a two-year period to implement
one of the African American 5 a Day Campaign’s Faith-Based Community Projects.
With this funding, Jubilee is launching their Jubilee Healthy Families Program, which will

Jubilee Serves Thanksgiving Dinner to Homeless
November 30, 2004
On Wednesday, November 24, the Jubilee Restoration staff prepared and served
Thanksgiving dinner to homeless youth clients from the Jubispot as well as needy
members of the neighborhood. Served in the cafeteria of Missionary Church of God
in Christ in West Berkeley, over 30 homeless men and women, ages 19-62, were able
to receive a home cooked meal and kind encouragement from caring staff members.
Much thanks to all our willing volunteers and those who contributed generous
donations to the event.
